«HISTOIRES DE NOS VIES (STORIES OF OUR LIVES)», May 2th to June 9 2006
An exhibition testifying to the lives of lesbians and gays in Quebec since the seventeenth century.


« 10 ans de fêtes/20 ans de luttes », June 1989
An exposition of posters and press clipping illustrating the history of the gay movement in Montréal and mounted at the bookstore l'Androgyne. This exposition was also presented at the Gay and Lesbian Community Centre of Montréal later in the same year, when we also organized a panel discussion on the history of gay militantism.


« Histoire de Nos Vies », June and November 1992
A survey of the important events in the history of Montréal's gay and lesbian community through various tableaux, posters and other visuals. The period covered extends from 1648 to the 1980s. This exposition was presented at the Montréal Gay and Lesbian Community Centre in the context of the 350th anniversary of Montréal, and was shown again during the Vie en Rose colloquium at the University of Québec in Montréal (UQAM). The Histoire de Nos Vies exposition is still available as an educational resource for presentation by any institution or community group which requests it.


« Priapes et Priapées », January 1994
For the twentieth anniversary of the Priape Boutique, the Archives mounted an exposition called Priape et Priapées, an initiative of Archives collective member Louis Godbout. Using illustrations and text, the cult of the Priapus was examined from Antiquity to the present day. This exposition was later shown at UQAM at the invitation of the university's gay and lesbian group, l'ALGUQAM.


« Alan B. Stone, photographe (1928-1992) : Partie 1. Images hommes », June to September 1998
An exposition of fifty photographs at the Écomusée du fiers monde, from June 17 to September 6, 1998, which illustrated Montréal photographer Alan B. Stone's vision of masculinity. This exposition was produced in conjunction with the Écomusée du Fier monde and the Centre d'histoire de la Ville de Montréal. Click here for more information on Allan B. Stone


« Le Berdache 20 ans après », November/December 1999
An exposition on the historic importance of the ADGQ and le Berdache, a highly politicized gay newspaper which played a very important role in the development of Québec's gay community. This exposition was shown during the colloquium on le Berdache, held at UQAM on November 13, 1999.


« Alan B. Stone, photographe (1928-1992) : Partie 2. Montréal, années 1950 », January to September 1999
The second part of the exposition highlighting the Stone collection brought together approximately fifty works of the photographer showing the old port and the streets and parks of Montréal in the 1950s. This exposition was produced in conjunction with the Écomusée du Fier monde and the Centre d'histoire de la Ville de Montréal and ran from January 23, 1999 until the end of the summer in the ame year. « Si le SIDA m'etait conté... Images d'une pandémie », June to August 2001
Presented from June 27 to August 26, 2001 at the Écomusée du fier monde, 2050 rue Amherst, Montreal. An exhibition to mark and to reflect upon the 20th anniversary of the public and scientific recognition of the pandemic, showcasing the contributions that graphic artists have made in the fight against HIV/AIDS through a selection of posters, documents and artifacts from the Archives gaies du Quebec's collections.
