« Éros Underground », April 1994
A benefit conference at UQAM given by Tom Waugh (a professor at Concordia University) on the history of clandestine gay culture as seen through its erotic imagery (films and photos) from 1880 to 1969. This conference was given again at Laval University in Québec City in October 1994

A benefit conference given by Tom Waugh on the illicit world of gay eroticism as seen through film and photography from the beginning of the twentieth century through to the present day

An illustrated multimedia conference by Ross Higgins on the history of gay bars and gay spaces in Montréal.

A celebration and a presentation by John Banks, accompanied by a video on Marlene Dietrich. At the Mississippi Club, Thursday June 4, 1998.


« Christian, Bernie et les autres : les gais dans les téléromans québécois », July 1998
A video conference by André Lavoie et Stéphane Gourde on Québec soap operas ("téléromans") and their great innovation in their presentation of gay characters since the 1970s. The conference contained several video excerpts. This event was organized with the collaboration of the Cinémathèque québécoise and was held during Divers-Cité, Montréal's gay and lesbian pride celebrations, on July 30, 1998.


« Beaux enfans de Sodome : images homosexuelles du XVIIIe siècle », July 2000
This lecture on the homosexual imagery and literature of the Enlightenment was first given on July 31, 2000 at the University of Quebec in Montréal (UQAM). It was given again on November 17, 2000 at UQAM, on December 13, 2002 in Lille, France, as part of the Question de genre festival, and finally on February 12, 2003 at Laval University, as part of a course on new fields of historical investigations.


« Ébauches et débauches : la littérature homosexuelle française de 1859 à 1939 », July 2001
This lecture on French homosexual literature was first given on August 2 2001 at the University of Quebec in Montréal (UQAM). It was given again on March 1, 2002, again at UQAM.


« Le rideau rose : histoire du théâtre gai et lesbien jusqu'en 1969 », August 2002
This lecture on pre-Stonewall French gay and lesbian theatre was first given on August 2, 2002 at the University of Quebec in Montréal (UQAM). It was given again on December 13, 2002 in Lille, France, as part of the Question de genre festival.
